Intermountain Forensics is a nonprofit organization that promotes the use of advanced DNA techniques for unsolved homicides and unidentified human remains. Founded in 2019 by the Cold Case Coalition, IMF developed the first laboratory accredited in forensic whole genome sequencing by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
IMF has now transitioned its laboratory operations to DNA Labs International and shifted its focus to another urgent need: case funding and education.
A New Focus
As we look ahead, Intermountain Forensics continues to be thought leaders in the emerging field of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy within the forensic DNA community. With a team of seasoned professionals and a wealth of industry experience, we are excited to offer a variety of consulting for DNA-related topics as well as NEW funding for cold cases.

A major barrier to bringing resolution to many cold cases is a lack of accessible and affordable forensic DNA-related services available to law enforcement. Intermountain Forensics wants to help alleviate that burden and remove those barriers for our law enforcement partners.
