[Case Resolution] Mindy Clevidence Identified - Help bring her killer to justice!

Recently, our partners, the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) announced the successful identification of Mindy Clevidence, a 17 year old girl found deceased in an alley 27 years ago. This identification was the result of the coordinated efforts of NCMEC, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, the Highland Park Police Department and Innovative Forensic Investigation.

Subsequent to this identification, Mindy's death has been classified as a homicide and the investigation into the details of her case are ongoing. We now join our partners in attempting to reach out to anyone who may have information that could lead to her killer's arrest. Please help us spread this call for assitance and share any information regarding this case to the Highland Park Police Department.

Mindy was found between Cortland and Richton Streets in Highland Park. She was wearing a white T-shirt with yellow and black smile faces on it, a white skirt, white socks, white gym shoes and a teddy bear watch. If you know anything about Mindy Clevidence’s murder or her whereabouts leading up to her murder in 1996, please call the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office (Michigan) at 313-318-8516 or NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

Our warmest thoughts and condolences go out to Mindy's family and friends as his identity is finally restored. It is our sincere hope that the dedicated investigators at the Wayne County Prosecutor's office and the Highland Park Police Department will bring her killer to justice.

We share and echo the poignant statement from Carol Schweitzer of NCMEC: "No matter how long it takes, we know that the answers can be found".
