Intermountain Forensics is excited to announce a major change for our organization! Effective July 15, 2024 all of IMF’s forensic testing laboratory operations will be taken over and managed by DNA Labs International (DLI). DLI is a private forensic DNA laboratory that has been providing forensic DNA analysis for law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and government forensic labs for over twenty years. As part of this change, Intermountain Forensics will be pivoting our mission focus to enhance our impact on the field of forensic science.
IMF 2.0 (as we have been lovingly calling it) will be restructuring to offer more educational and technical assistance opportunities, as well as, providing assistance in raising money to help cover the cost of lab work for cold cases. In the short term, we will be focusing on special projects and closing out our current casework flow. Our Board will be guiding us through this new program iteration in line with our mission.
This realignment and repurposing of our organization could not happen without with the incredible assistance and partnership of DNA Labs International. In the coming days and weeks, more information about the logistics of this transition will be forthcoming. As an organization, we have always highly valued transparency and quality in the work that we do. DLI is an organization that meets our high standards. As they take over the operations of the physical laboratory located in Salt Lake City, we know that they will continue to provide high quality forensic DNA testing services.
Intermountain Forensics has been and will continue to be on the forefront of Forensic DNA Science. We are excited for the next chapter ahead and we are glad that you will be able to join with us on that journey!
